Just when you thought this thread had died! Lazarus come forth! Wayne did a little exploratory surgery on my GSP Corsair wing to see if he could fix the cracked bracing under the FRP skin. Guess what!? There is no real bracing in there. The wood consisted of very thin, about 1/8th inch at best, malaysian plywood. Even without the help of old man sun this wing was bound to fail! There is no wood in the leading edge area either, just FRP!

Wayne managed to get some new ply bracing in the wing and says he thinks it will hold up now! If any of you want to see this plane it will be for sale at the next Perry, Georgia swap meet this coming March. Till next time!
