Yes they try to fool you with some wood out where the landing gear is but inboard of that it is one thin piece of wood that probably wouldnt even be enough for a spar in a PAPER AIRPLANE! Mine broke on a good landing, we heard a "pop" and opon inspection found the center "spar" for lack of a better word, CRACKED! The only way to fix this plane, if I bother, will be to cut out fiberglass and lay a real spar in the wing and make sure it gets goined to where the landing gear beams are. I think I will strip it and take to some swaps but I doubt I could give it away,lol. Safety issues come up from time to time and this plane is a real danger to anyone around while it is in the air. Wing failures are a matter of time no matter how good you think you are at piloting. The sad part is that they could have put a real piece of wood in there and had a structuraly sound plane without any cost increase. The warping stinks but would be "barely" acceptable. I just finally got my engine tuned just right and she was flying great when this happened so I only got two flights on her that were enjoyable.
