Default A good one bites it.

Well, my OMP Edge (in my avatar) bought it this weekend, (sigh). The plane taught me all the 3D I know and was like a favorite old t-shirt that just gets worn more than most.

It went in like a good soldier. I have been working on low harriers, flying a figure 8 getting the turns down. Friday afternoon I was working this in a little wind. The wind got under a wing on the belly-in turn and I cross-f*$*ed it trying to correct, stupid. I was very low (tail less than 1ft up) but what happened next was sad. My screwed up rudder/throttle input caused the plane to look like someone grabbed it by the spinner and slung it overhead in an arc, elevator first into the ground, hard. The fuse shattered, lots of little pieces still stuck to covering. Not your typical ‘broke behind the wing’, even the front broke off the wing.

But it went in helping me push my lame-a@@ 3D skills a little further and will surely pass on to 3D Valhalla. I immediately fired up the KatanaP and did some hovering just to climb back on that horse.

Pictures tonight.
