RE: real scale missles
Years ago I think I remember a rocket built by a science club at some school where they used a photo sensitive cell and made a "shadow seeking" rocket. The photocell in the nose controlled an on-board control system and flew the rocket into a large kite that was being flown over the launch site. The kite made a shadow netween the sun and the rocket. As I recall- they punched holes all through the kite. A litle off subject, but I wonder if that would be considered "under control"? Probably not. But cool just the same.
I think the article was in Flying Models Magazine- early 80's maybe.
