Default RE: Applying Decals

ORIGINAL: jagnweiner

I've finally finished (more or less) my GP .60 Cub. Maiden was this weekend, but I haven't put the decals on yet. Are there any tricks to a successful application? I believe they are the press on adhesive type. I am applying on Monokote.

I have heard vague reference to spraying the surface with Windex so you can float them into position. Is there anything more to it? Also, should I install the large number decal on the wing in one piece, or cut each individual number out? Is there anything I can do to make sure they don't come off after use? Will they actually stay on?

Thanks,
Scott
Use the Windex or the dish soap/water method to float them in position. After they have dried, take some MonoKote solvent (trim solvent ? - in any case it comes in about a 3 oz bottle ) and using a q-tip go over all the edges of the decal. This will seal the decal edges down.
