On both the flaps and ailerons, push the hinges in the movable surfaces far enough that the pivot point is close to the edge of the surface.
Then push the hinge onto the TE of the wing until the aileron or flap is even with the top of the wing.
The hinge will not be fully inserted into the wing TE. This is OK.
It's also the only way to get full aileron travel.
BTW, I'm test flying mine today if the wind doesn't get up too high. It's a white one with an OS 160 twin, 16.5 pounds dry.
