I have the KMP also and replaced the wire with new High strength wire... I was bending the wire it came with forward a little to get the wheels as far forward as possable and it broke... So made new set. I made an extra wire that went back to the wing at a 45% angle and solder in together with copper wire around it to secure it. I also did not attach the wheel pant to the wing with screws. I place thin foam under the pant where it touches the wing, mounted new hard rubber tires and filled the wheel pants with expandable foam... I'm going to see how this works before I invest in struts... I did see a pair of Robarts struts that seemed like they might work. I think they were 625 series just out this yr. Will check on and see #.
