I guessit would be.

I've understood 'warbird' to mean 'military plane'. Whether it is athe hot-shot fighter, or a lowly trainer / spotter; such as teh PT-9 or a 'Cub'.

I guess it's assumed, that any 'military plane' was probably used in a war, in some way.. Even if it was just to ferry a diplomat during the time of war...
