Default RE: Adrenaline 3D

John, the extra $$ for the brushless setup is well worth it. I went brushed standard GWS 350 at first, burnt that motor, mine went a long time for being run on 3 cell lipo's. Then since I had the brushed speed ctrl I went with a Losi mini T hop up motor for $40.00. This motor has replaceable brushes and good power. Next I took the plung, Himax 2015-4100 and CC 25 amp speed ctrl. Combo deal from Todds models, I think I paid $114 last year (cheaper now). I had $20 for the origanal GWS motor and gearbox, $40 for the hop up motor and the brushed ECS that I already had is around $30.

I think it really makes sense to just go brushless from the beginning. This power system I have now himaxx 2015-4100, CC25 and TP 1320 3S batts, will fly an airplane in the weight range from 12-16 oz very well, the lighter end with a 10x4.7 or 11x4.7, and top weights with a 12x6 prop. Full on 3D flying from 14-20+ minutes.
