I found a neat way to land my Adreniline. Just point it into the wind, cut the throttle (I don't have any brake set on my ESC) and give full up elevator. With my setup the Adreniline will stay completely level and just float down. It lands with just a little forward flight (depending on the wind speed) and it will hit with almost as light as a smooth landing. This is without the landing gear. Depending on your flight attitude, it takes about 5 ft of elevation before it settles into this glide. Its fun to try to guage the wind, then get it up about 75ft and see how close you can come to your feet.

I have about 3 hours of air time on the Adrenaline 3D now and the more I fly it the more I like it!!
Landing gear works great. It is easily removed, but the plane fly's so good with it that I just leave it on even when I fly where I can't use it (about 1/2 the time).
Hay,if I get enough stick time I might just become a competent pilot.
Can't get over the initial hit I took the first time out, so I ordered a Berg 6 today with failsafe. The technique the loading explained works great--i think i will set my failsafe default to this. Not sure if I would have ever encountered another hit again, as I have about 3 hours on the 555 without a glitch since first outing. I guess it is a little insurance as I fly within 200 yards of some houses and want to try new fly sights.

all the planes in these videos are 16oz and flown with a 2212/26 and an APC SF 11x4.7, be sure to look at the Las Vegas video of Andrew Jeski having way to much fun!!!!!!!!

That video is awesome! One thing that separates this plane from others is that not only can you fly it indoors as Jeski is doing, but you can fly patterns with it outdoors in the wind!

I ordered a back up and a re-up. They offer the foam, hinges and control arms for $34.95 now as a "re-up" kit so that you can reuse all the carbon fiber and renew your plane.

do not have any experience with the Himax, you would need to adapt the motor to the four point mount system of this airplane, see attached picture.
the 2208/34 is a little small for this airframe, the 2212/26 is the best choice.
it still performs very well with the 2208/34, RC Universe used the 2208/34 for their review because they could not get a 2212/34 at the time of the review,it still had very good performance.

I think that if you live at lower elevations, say 2000 ft or lower the 2208 34 would work well, I am not sure where the RCU video with Rich Poe was taken but if I were to guess I would say that it was at a lower elevation. The videos with Chip and Pete Rosa was taken near Fort Collins CO which is 5500 to 6000 ft (I think)

I fly most of the time with a nuetrally ballanced plane, By that I mean that it will fly 'hands off' upright and inverted when flying straight & level at 3/8 to 1/2 throttle. I like it this way so that the plane doesnt climb when inverted when doing rolling circles and harriers, the Video with Jeski in Las Vegas, That plane was ballanced about 1" behind the spar, Andrew later (after the video) moved the CG ahead a little bit and did the most awesome and blindingly fast rolling circles that I have ever seen around that big pole in the middle of the 50' deep x 50' wide x 14' high space. After watching him fly in that confined little area, I truly beleive that Andrew could fly in a closet if he wanted to.

75 flights on the pane and I had only nosed it in 1 time(other than first time out radio hit) Today I put it into the ground 3 yes 3 times!!! Boy is that motor mount system strong! I think it also helps that the 4 carbon rods run all the way to the front of the plane. Fully crash tested today..(there are 3 holes in the ground)...very impressed with the way the plane held up and it was an easy fix each time.

OK 102 flights on this plane and I can't say enough good things about it.
If you have been thinking about getting a foamy but did not know what plane & equipment to get and did not want to spend that much money until you learned more about the stuff it is time to change your mind. That was my excuse for not making the leap for 2 years.
Call Abell Hobbies and have them set you up with one of these birds as they recommend-it is top notch and you will not regret it. I have a place I can fly that is only 5min from the house so I have been getting some stick time & having a ton of fun. If I have just 1/2 hour in a day I can get out flying.
I feel like a kid that has just learned how to ride a bike because on my 100th flight with this bird I started doing sustained and somewhat controlled rolling harriers! There is no way I would have ever gotten to this level just flying my nitro birds for 6 flights every other week.

Happy to hear that you are having so much fun with the Adrenaline 3D. We went to the AMA Convention a week & a half ago. Jason Noll, Eugene Roller, Josh Glavin and Bill Hempel all flew the Adrenaline in the designated indoor flying area. Check it out!
