How does the Skyraider Mach-II compare to the 4*?

I started on the nexstar, built a 4* crashed it into toothpicks, and bought the mach II. I was a little more comfortable with the 4* probably because it was slower and a little softer control inputs on the recommended throws. The mach II (46fx from the 4*) is definitely a fast little plane, the elevator was a little too much for me and I was comfortable at 1/2 throttle, full throtle was a handful for me. Last time I flew the throtle linkage came loose at full throttle and I spent 17 minutes of white knuckle flying til it ran out of fuel :0 But for $70 I figured I could crash 2 for the price of one 4* ARF. And the Mach II is a very nice ARF for the money, better hardware than the 4* kit had for abt the same price. The mach II seems almost "flimsy" but it holds up to my abuse so that was no concern. There is a guy at our field who flies a mach II and does every maneuver in the book, it is a capable plane. The plane lands easier than my nexstar does. I also have been flying since about April and have progressed quickly, and I have a long way to go before I master the Mach II.
