RE: My new ZN Supremes'
That's funny I have heard that same thing from some other guys running Futaba RX's. I know that Futaba makes a good PCM RX but I'm not sure why it would be an issue on The Futaba and not JR's. But my JR equipment doesn't seem to care.
One thing to consider is the type of regulator. There are a couple types I know of....One is a switching regulator these are constantly changing to accommodate the load. I know they can cause interference issues. Not to say they won't work they just need different care and feeding to not cause problems. I don't have experience with these types. I know there are several brands out there now and I have seen some people have RF issues with Regs. I have never seen or heard of an issue with the Jim Oddino regulators. He sells them under the Jaccio name. Central Hobbies has them. I can only say that I trust Jim's regs and have never had an issue. In fact I trust Jim's expertise and I have never even run any of the other regulators on the market so I really can say much about them...Only what I have seen in helping folks out.
I've done lots of things that are "against" the rules for RF interference issues. I've mounted throttle servos just inches from ignition modules on the big gas models. Never had an issue with the JR RX's. Maybe there is something about the ABC+W windowing that seems to save my rear regarding the "no-no's".....I always check out my radio gear with good range test procedures and I always try to keep my equipment in really good shape.
Glad to hear you Hanno is running good in the Conquest. I always liked the Hanno motor. I had really good luck with my Hanno's...I probably had 3 or 4 of them.
