It is the Stephen Bess Method.

www.sgrid.com- search through the offroad forums on that website or use the search button on this forum and type in Stephen Bess or something along those lines.

the Novarossi #6 plug should be a good plug for a colder climate- however you might want to go to a hotter Novarossi/RB #5 or a cooler #7 plug as well.. It's all about experimentation. And all depends on what type/percentage/blend of fuel you are using and the ehad clearance as well. Might want to be more specific.
