Default RE: How to Memorize Sequences?

Good questions.

First, I usually break a new sequence into 3 figure chunks to memorize them.

SCAT Basic I would memorize like this

From Inverted, pull to 45 downline, center 1/2 roll, pull to exit positive
Humpty Bump, Pull Vertical, pull 1/2 loop, center 1/2 roll on downline, exit positive
Full Roll on Center

Then memorize the next 3 and then the final 4.

Remember, at a contest you will have a caller, but for practice you need to memorize them.

I can usually get a new seqeunce into my head in less than an hour doing the 3 figure chunks.

Also, go here: http://www.scaleaerobatics.org/sequences.html

Download the Aresti Made Simple and Aresti Explained articles. VERY helpful for learning Aresti.

I "dry fly" at home sometimes. Sit there with your TX and imagine you are flying the sequence. Move the sticks as you "fly".

Otherwise, burn gas!!

Later.
