Heck, I can hardly see my planes at 400'. I would say altitude is not your problem. The stubble is. Get a lawnmower and cut that stuff down so you can taxi on it. I have a 4 ' roller I use behind my rider every time I cut the grass. You are going to need about 200 or more feet long, by 20 - 50 ' wide area to use.
