two things for hobbytown:
first off all, you have to stock what sells. How many hand crank fuel pumps move off the shelf? how about smoke oil? In my personal area I know of no other active flyers flying gasoline, and no one with smoke. Do I complain that I had to buy a pump off the internet, no... simple business concepts, stuff sitting on the shelves is costing you money. The local hobbytown already absorbs some cost to help local flyers.
and secondly, staffing is the greatest single thing affecting a good/bad one. I know every person that works at the local hobbytown, including the owner. I fly with them on a regular basis! Obviously they are very experienced in model RC stuff in general and because of that the service is great!
