Hi ,
At the Florida Jets this year I finally bought a Duralite Package i.e 4000mA RX Batt, 4000mA ECU pack and charger.
I used it for a couple of weeks until one day I put the Rx batt on charge and found that the charge indicator LED wouldnt come on.
I contacted Duralite and told them about the problem, after many e-mails we quickly established that the Rx pack was defective because a charge cycle could be initiated on the ECU pack
Duralite promptly sent me a free replacement 4000mA Rx battery although I was many 1000miles away (in India).
Now when I tried to charge the new battery and :
* the charge indicator LED was on
* the charging cycle is supposed to be 6hrs however the end of charge cycle indicated by a faint glow(as per instructions) did not
happen for 12~13hrs, is this normal?
* The voltage without load is 8.3V , with a 1amp load is 7.69V
* If I attempt to initiate a fresh charge cycle on the same battery the LED does not indicate charging.
* Of the 4 charging ports available only the last port (from the left) show a dim glow.
Is this battery safe to use ?
How do I establish that it is charged to full capacity ?
Why did the charge cycle not terminate in 6hrs ?
Even if the battery is fully charged shouldnt the LED indicate charging atleast for some time when an attempt is made to initiate a fresh cycle ?
I am new to this Lithium technology and therefore a little wary, other than that Duralite has extended excellent support.
Please confirm if this battery would be safe to use.
