the little 14cc echo trimmer engines would make a decent substitute IF you have room for 14" props and the plane can handle an additional 4 lbs. or so.

or you could just covert the 4 glow engines to electronic ignition and get the same great reliability with less weight penalty. it would also allow you to run 0% nitro fuel.
