Default Sledge 540 progress.

It came out to exactly 4 lbs 8 oz.

I got several more flights on it today and am seeing a few differences from it and my Top Cap.

The main one is its more stable in high alpha or 3D flying.
Example, Elevators (the maneuver) on the Top Cap are good but there is a little wing rocking on the way down. On the Sledge its very stable all the way to the ground. I landed out of a few today. It sets up with a high sink rate and at about 20 feet if you add a little throttle the sink rate slows as the nose picks up. Very little aileron is needed to keep it straight. As the sink rate slows and the nose picks up it will land out of it fairly easily or, you can add a little more power and transition into a harrier. Once its in a Harrier you can steer it around really well with the rudder. It just needs a little opposite aileron to keep it from rolling out.

Another difference is that the ailerons in general are a little less effective on the Sledge. I think they are a little smaller than the TC's. I have mine moving as far as they will go without the inside corner hitting the fuse at the extreme deflections.

Hovering the Sledge is easy. It will TR at a pretty good pace if its tilted on its back just slightly.

I have been trying to do High Alpha rolls with my 29% Edge since I started flying it a month or so ago. They never seem to look right. The Sledge does them easily. (And they look correct.)

So far I really like this plane. I will post more when I fly it some more.
