I would think that you can. Having said that remember you get what you pay for. Seeing as though the range for a micro heli is only about 500 ft I am sure the TX and RX are not of top quality and to expect not to have an issue somwhere along the way is a asking alot. If in fact the plane you plan on using it for isnt worth the time in putting a quality RX and TX into it then my all means try it what do you have to lose. But IMO I dont own a plane I would chance putting average electronics into so I would never chance those low end transmitters they give you with the micro helis.
