Default GWS E Starter-set up help

This was only my second flyer and even though quite durable, succumbed to a giant oak tree!! Anyway, thinking about trying again. The only thing Im really not happy with is the motor. Gears kept missing plus couldnt do any loops (Stalled everytime). So want to beef up a bit. Dont mind spending a little money on motor and controller as long as I can use in several planes. Any reccomendations? I have mostly 3cell THunderpower and Kokam Lipos. 1500 to 2100. SO I guess brushless is the way to go. Right now I have a MP ac 25/25-26 mk2 in another plane. (are MP jets good?) Real new to electrics so want to get motors etc that have good reputation for long lifes. Im having a hard time figuring out this amperage thing and matching airframe etc. I have electric cls and motocalc and still cant seem to fill in the right numbers.....but thats a different subject.

thanks in advance.

note: if anyone can recommend a plane thats better for someone that is getting back into flying. (i.e I used to fly glowplanes years ago) but am pretty rough right now. Id appreciate that as well
