Default RE: GWS E Starter-set up help

thanks for link. I have both ecalc and motocalc and never seem to be able to get the right info in to do calculations. What gear are you using with the 2025-4200? I went on web site after your reply and saw the HG series. IS this what you use? I dont mind spending the money for something thats reliable. This calculation thing has just got me irked. Cant seem to figure out. I know this much, I like the lipos and brushless seems the way to go. But putting it all together is a little challenging. Ive been reading everything I can but a long way away. I will play with the link you gave me and see if I can come up with same numbers you did. Think I just need to know gears at this point

thanks for your help... I trashed my estarter. Im pretty much teaching myself how to fly. (I use to fly glow years ago) I saw I was going into some trees, pulled back on the stick. Plane wouldnt rotate for a loop. I heard this grinding noise (later I discovered that gears werent meshing right for some reason) Plane stalled into oak tree. Only way to recover electronics was to lasso plane. To say the least....wasnt a pretty site when finally got down!!! So this is why im looking for a little more power. I also bought an alfa Yak 54. Put a brushless in....threw it and well this wasnt pretty either. Was able to rebuild it. Added some weight, but a little gunshy right now. This is why I went to estarter.

Thanks again for helping a newbie here. My wife just laughs everytime I go out spend $500 and trash the plane. At least shes a good sport!!
