Default RE: Sig Kougar

On the Kougar, Sig recommends a really goofy way to measure the CG, (I think). Here is what the book says."Test fly with the balance point located anywhere between the leading edge at the wingtip and 1/2 " back from the leading edge at the wing tip." "Sport fly at 1/2 " back from the leading edge at the wing tip." "Aerobatics - If your model will spin in both directions at 1/2 " back it need not be moved back any further. Some models need the balance point at 3/4 " for full response."

They go on to say that flying with the CG any further back than 1" is not recommended.

For me, a short guy 5' 10" or so, its tough to get fingertips at each wing tip and try to balance the model. I drew a line from tip to tip and balanced it in a more conventional way.

My Kougar came out nose heavy with the OS 46, so I have about 1 oz of lead under the stab.

Good Luck
