try the GP P51. it's not much harder than the SS.
it has driffernent procedures to improve your building skills
it has a modified ultrasport's wing.
you can learn how to install retracts, plus less storage room when the wheels are up.
mount the engine sideways and mount an in cowl muff.
paint cowl and canopy, and exhuast.
wing's flairing at fuselage and wing tips carving.
i just got done building and covering mine.
would have been cheaper if i bought an ARF.
but it allowed me to reinforce the retract mounts and angle the wheels to
sit 1- 1 1/2" in front of the LE when extended and conseal in the wing when retracted.
i've never installed retracts before. i laugh and cried during the process.
