A friend of mine who is in the learning phase of flying R/C bought an e-starter. I get it in the air for him and let him do some stick time until he hits the panic mode then I take it back over. I been flying from way back before neat little electrics like this and I find the e-starter very pleasant. We did one modification that I learned from a GWS P51 and that was to shave the motor mount stick in a down taper to give the motor about a 3 degree down thrust. This kept the plane from ballooning up under full throtle and allowed to it to maintain a neutral trim when dead sticking it in on final.
Anyway I thought I would donate my two cents, hope it helps. BTW I like his e-starter so much that I am going to purchase one tomorrow in fact. I would like to get my monies worth and wear out the stock motor/gears before upgrading
