I used to own one of these planes,before it got shot down 6 or so mnths ago......i found the kit easy to put together.....although the instructions were in russian...with a little bit of english as an after thought........i put an OS 120(3 blade graupner prop 16 x8 ) in mine with standard futaba 3001 servo's....which worked great.....I used most of the hardware they provided....only changing the snakes for sullivans on the rudder an elevator.......the wing comes in 3 seperate pieces an fixed U/C....if you want to put retracts in it then your gonna have to cut out the wells an holes for all the plumbing.....this will add quite a bit of weight to the model.....I was lazy an went with the fixed U/C....it was the first model i built(second one was the trainer i learnt to fly with....).....I just looked at the spit for one year until i was ready....lol.....
anyway.....i finished the model with FLAIR paint in the desert scheme....oh....i changed the engine mount as well to an ali one...
it needed quite a bit of lead on the nose to balance it....cant remember how mutch......but the cg is bang on in the instructions....110mm from LE......my spit flew great....i would recommend this spit to anyone who loves spits......since the demise of mine I went out an bought a 102 in WS fibreclassics spit
