on my diblotin super I set up radio to 150% travel and select arms that will give me almost 90deg throw up and down. I leave gaps in hinge lines so that control surfaces will deflect 90deg. I use only jr3421 servos 65oz, .18speed and metal gears and no expo. I rarely use all this control but find it easier to keep sticks around center for 3d stuff. with this much throw and no expo it is challenging to fly this plane over 1/2 throttle but I rarely do. mainly fly it at walking speed. confidence is the key to down on the deck 3d, running out of throw is like running out of power while hovering. you need lots of stick in reserve to get out of trouble. good luck
