I have decided to learn how to perform 3D maneuvers with the Tribute and then move up to a plane like the Adrenaline or something similar to it so that I'll have the skills to enjoy it. I'm not really denouncing it or against it.
I'm not sure of an example for some high quality double-sided tape because the kit that my Tribute came in supplied mine. If it has the term "industrial strength" or "permanent", then it'll probably do fine. If you don't like the tape idea, then you could go with some industrial strength Velcro with tape on both sides. I have no experience with the Velcro except for the piece on my PBF holding the battery pack on and it does exceptionally well. I found the Velcro at Office Depot. This will add a little more weight compared to the tape but not enough to notice a difference.
