Default RE: Jett 76L Any one tried one ?

Hello folks....

Some basic information....

The 76L is in a similar size case to the SJ-46 and SJ-50. It has a slightly taller cylinder (about .10"), but it remains a drop-in bolt pattern/drive washer position to match an OS 46. Flying eight with the lite-jett muffler is about the same as an OS.46.

With all of the testing we have done on this engine, its turned out to be a real amazing machine.

Yes, the .61L and .65L are available as case case, and are the same "46" size case. The SJ-60L "hover" engine is available specifically set up for 3D work.

All 3 engines are intended to turn larger props, a bit slower. The way this tends to work out, the smaller displacement engine is capable of higher rpm. All are outstanding for sport, scale and aerobatic applications.

The 76L is set up primarily to best run in the 9000-12000 peak rpm band, with better than average midrange torque. Mine is currently set up to run with the turbo-jett muffler installed, and turns a 14x4W over 11K rpm. It turns an APC 14x6 just over 10K rpm. The same engine with the lite-jett muffler will turn the same props about 300-500 rpm lower.

Not bad from a .40

All of the engines are available as side or rear exhaust.

I have attached a data sheet on the 76L and 60-Hover for those interested.

The BSE 90L, 1.00L and 1.20L are similar types of engines created in a "60" size case.

As I prefer to tell folks...... Price, is only one component of Value. Any Jett owner can tell you what I mean.

Bob
