Thanks for the kind words. Jett Engineering is a small business. We do some advertising, but many of our sales are from word of mouth. Fortunately, our products, engines and reputation afford us enough word-of-mouth to keep Dub in business
tIANci, in refernce to The 76L speed application - it will not run at speed-type rpm... not designed to. Its a torque engine. Runs best below 12K rpm. I guess if you prop it down in that range, it will happily turn a 12" prop at a consistant rpm... but it will not unload a great deal in the air.
Some of our test data. Users will typically see 200-300 rpm less than this:
Prop Muffler RPM
14 x 6 apc Lite 9800
14 x 6 Turbo 10400
14 x 4W Lite 10800
14 x 4W Turbo 11600
12.25 x 3.75 Lite 14000
12.25 x 3.75 Turbo 14500
I have also played around with a 15x4 on it and a couple of 3-blade props.
For reference, my SJ-46 and turbojett combination turns a 12x4 just at 14K rpm. The SJ-65H will turn the 12.25x3.75 at about 14,500 rpm with the Lite muffler.
So you can see, there are diminishing returns asking the .76L to turn up higher. That is one reason we do not sell it with the larger Jett-Stream muffler - it just does not work with this configuration.
The BSE-76L will turn an 12x8, but it will not unload much in the air. But I will take a few minutes to try the engine with a 12x8 and 12x10 just for a data point next time I have an opportunity.
The big block .76 and 90L will hault a 12x6 - 12x8 at substantial rpm. The 90L really likes to turn
