Hi you might want to check the grain of the shear ribs in those old wings.
A guy in my club has a CMPRO Katana and had to remove a portion of the film on the bottom of both wings and replace the shear ribs as the grain was running down the span and not vertical, also part of the shear ribbing was cracked.
