If you're going to cross them, I'd use Dubro Swivel links at the servo arms.
One side on top of the servo arm and the other side of the servo arm should
be located underneath to prevent cables rubbing each other.

Great idea! I never thought of that. I'm using the Dubro swivel links, I'll switch mine around today. Thanks.
