It depends on what you class as 'the limit of range'. My Futaba instruction book recommends 100' as the maximum (with AE down). I have tried going further away and have at 150-160' experienced the same as you, servo's fluttering when another channel has been operated. However it has (touch wood) never affected the flight handling.
