Well... not really.. it runs on a lead calcium battery (they had suggested hobbico 7ah on that page) so its DC 12volts
You just buy a battery charger for it and it works like a starter box without the box (or so i assume, as i have never tried either of them)

Looks pretty portable to me.
Maybe i should buy one....
