My lovely bride actually went to the LHS and PURCHASED my first plane! (along with the radio, engine, field equipment, etc.) She setup the first flight with the instructor and had the AMA number waiting for me at the same time.

I just acquired a P-51 yesterday, and she couldn't wait to get out to the "hangar" and take a look. This is my fourth plane in three months, and she hasn't stopped me yet. As a matter of fact, she's even considering the "RC" fund, a weekly deposit into the savings account earmarked only for RC purchases.

I would have to say that when the wife is actually contributing to your "habit", participating and encouraging, that's better than being "single".

And no, she doesn't have a sister...
