Don't need a plane. Need confidence. If it's easy 30 feet up its easier 5 feet up, just don't have a 25 foot cushion. I finally worked up the nerve to get them down low and my Hard Bet flamed out at about 6 feet up (never went dead stick before, stuff happens). If you want to minimize the risk, get something that will take a beating. SPAD or a Burrito.
