I bought RC Report to read the review. I wasn't very impressed with the NX 1.00. The review was fairly complementary about the engine, apart from the overly loud muffler, but it isn't as powerful as I expected.

It is kind of hard to get exact comparisons on rpm for various prop sizes and manufacturers, but it looks like the NX 1.00 is less powerful than the OS 91FX. I didn't see one published figure where the NX 1.00 pulled the same or more rpm than the 91FX. The NX 1.00 is a little bit less money, but I would expect that for a Chinese motor versus an OS. Also the OS is a ringed motor, which generally cost a little bit more money.

I guess if it wasn't for the noise issue I would consider this motor, but over 100 db would break my club's noise rules. I find it kind of surprise that such a noisy engine puts out such poor power, usually a quieter muffler is more restrictive and provides less power. It looks like I will have to buy another 91FX.
