Default Ball diffs

Hi sorry for the cross posting but noone in the off road forum would/could answer my question can anyone help with the below post?

Hi I am verry new to the whole ball diff thing. all my past cars had planitary diffs. I had one tamyia chevy s10 but i tourqed down and locked the ball diff for rock crawling resones. I now am trying to get into racing and have had a blast with my new Evader ST. I ad no idea i had to readjust the diff after it broke it but cought it and adjusted it. About a week ago i tore apart my trainy to inspect it and also "stupid me" tore down the diff. the next time i drove the truck it sounded as though the sliper clutch was loos it just screemed and barly moved. I found out it was the diff. i tightend it but got the same thing. now i have it verry verry tight and it feels as though there is grit dirt or sand in it "that is how tight it is" i hear this is bad for them and now can not drive my cool truck do to the fear of breaking it. can somone help me with this problem? I have not been able to find a happy medium it is ether loos and sliping like hell or it is tight and sandy. thanks for all the help
