Yes that is exactly what has happened, it has melted down twice, the airplane that it is in is a government peice (experimental UAV) the ducting of the thrust is completly diffrent than anyone here has been exposed to due to the patients on the design, basicly in generic terms the bypas of the thrust blows through a plenum and vectors through the center wing of the aircraft, it exhaust out the trailing edge of the center wing, the plenum was designed so that the exhaust is not in the airflow exiting the wing, this is due to the fact that I can not have any heated exhaust coming out. (GOVERMENT, does not want any type of heat generated behind the bird due to STEALTH TEC.) anyhow I cant keep this pipe from melting down because it is not in the airflow. does that help any?
