Well Vince, Here are my findings for the wireless Dragonfly! First off let me start by saying I have 4 years of helicopter flying under my belt, and I have 2 modified Coronas 120 helicopters. Now, about this dragonflyer, on it's first flight In mid-hover the Canopy and Fly bar FLEW RIGHT OFF THE HELICOPTER and the upper blade caught the loose flybar and chopped the blade tip right off!!!!!!!!![X(] Self destructing little Rat *******.....[>:] It seems the plastic part that holds the flybar on is molded to loosly, I clamped it and heated it with a soldering torch to mold it closed tighter! It flew with no mishaps on its second flight But I still dont trust that part, Im going to figure a way to some how make it a closed end part. I must say when I had the Teathered Hirobo X.R.B Lama Version, it truly came out of the box Flight ready and stable, But this thing has a tendency to wonder, Kind of like a dog with no leash that doesn't listen. The TX sticks are a little too stiff for my comfort. LOTS of tinkering and trimming is need. The one thing i do like is that this thing does hold a good glitch free signal! I still dont know how long to charge the lipo, I just let it charge for about an hour and 15 minutes, then when everything got real hot I got scared of the lipo blowing up so then I unplugged it and flew. It's okay I guess, but I paid $169 on ebay for the whole set up, so what the hell can I expect. This is a good helicopter if you have lots of expeirience tinkering and modifiying
model helicopter. The guys at the trade show were flying them Hands off the transmitter, but who knows how much tinkering and mods they did. If your Dad has lots of expeirience he may want to get one just to piss around with it on a rainy day, But he might also want to buy a Helmet to............
