RE: whats the use for real flight
It`s no coincidence that full scale pilots train on simulators. Sure they`re cheaper to run, maybe a few hundred $$ an hour to run (charge out time is a lot more), but they`re a LOT cheaper than crashing!!
Same applies to RC flying. If you pay $250 for RealFlight and use it for 250 hours, that $1 an hour, and it WILL save damage and down time as a result. You can`t go flying when it`s pi$$ing down rain, snowing, or blowing 30 knots.
Can you imagine doing inverted fly bys at one foot above the runway in a real aircraft? No problem in a simulator, and if you drive it in, wait 30 secs for a reset and do it all again.
If your Dad is not convinced now, he`s never going to be, but maybe returning it and buying the G3 isn`t such a bad idea.
