Just info.. I fly my C130 and use aileron to rudder mixing. On my second flight the #4 engine quit, (a bit lean) and I flew the plane in and landed using rudder with only minor issues. So just consider mixing. Also when flying if the plane makes a sudden turn in any direction (which is what the herk did) suspect an engine out. Make the plane go where you want don't let it drift off your flight path. The rudder becomes critical. I also use only 50% flaps for landing and full for take off. Total Herk flights todate are 29 with at least 4 hrs in the air time.
