Anyone else who state another bipe has never flown the HOG BIPE!
it lands like a trainer ... flys like a trainer with no bad habits and yet setup with high rates and atleast a 80 4-stroke in the nose ...
You can have some serious fun with it ... then once you get it out of your system ... switch back to low rates and let it land itself ... (well almost ... ).
They Fly great. Build up your confidence and takes away fear about flying bipes!
Then go fly a pitts! or maybe an Ultimate before the Pitts S-2C.
PS ... I agree to disagree with RWH about no beginner BIPEs ...
If you can fly and land a taildragger ... you can fly a Hog! and the building of them is not bad.
I will agree with his alternate choice of the thunder tigger ARF bipe ... while not personally owning one ... I have seen it fly and though it looks cheap ... and looks ugly with its wannabe pitts color scheme ... it does seem to fly good and the owner is flying it as his first taildragger ... and only flew a thunder tigger high wing trainer before it ... so it really depends on your confidence level.
IMHO. if you think you can ... you will and be pleased you did!
Bipes are fun ... the bigger ones are a hassle to setup at the field ... but sure are nicer to fly! and stay away from the Tiger Lily(Moth) bipe ... flat bottom airfoils suck ... and my dad owns 2 ... guess where they stay ... they do make good looking static display models!
