I fly in some pretty strong winds. Have to cos it's hardly ever nil wind here. I usually find that is the wind goes up it just becomes less fun rather than too difficult.
I suggest that you not be afraid of wind. There are lots of people at my club that are scared to fly in anything over 15mph.
Flying in wind makes you a better pilot.
