Is the RC field grass or hard surface?? If the the field is grass, then the size of the wheels is more important than the type. Some kits come with larger wheels than others. Our club uses 3" wheels as a "good standard" for the mains. Smaller wheels tend to try to push through the grass instead of rolling over it. Some trainers use a front whel that is 1/4" smaller than the mains. In that case, use 3" wheels for the mains and 2 3/4" for the front steering wheel. If all 3 wheels are the same size then get all three wheels 3". I prefer the light weight types such as Sullivan Sky Lites or Dubro diamond Lite. 3 of these weigh less than 1 standard wheel. They are a few dollars more but the weight savings makes it worthwhile.
