I did not think there was such a thing as a long drive in Jersey. come on down to Texas and I will show you a long drive. A pilot friend who flies for Southwest told me that he was on a nonstop from Los Angeles to Houston. It took 1hr 10min from LA to Elpaso but 1hr 30min from Elpaso to Houston, and that is in a 737. There are miles and miles of Texas.
