I would use as much equipment from the working receiver as possible. Connect the battery from the working receiver directly to the new reciever (to eliminate the switch). Double check that you are using a high-band futaba receiver (check your invoice, ask at a hobby shop, etc..) Just out of curiosity, where did you get the receiver?

If you use a known good battery, a known good crystal, and a known good servo - and it still doesn't work, it has to be a bad receiver...
