I agree with Spaceclam. If you want to learn to hover G-2 is a help. For other 3D like waterfalls, elevators,blenders, walls etc ..etc. I have not found a plane that will do it. The new G-3 is supposed top do 3-d but I am not going to invest another $200 in it.
I learned some 3-D on a SPAD3D. It is crash proof (almost) and cheap. It is a great tool to learn rudder and throttle control. You can get the planes for free at
