jmiller,the Lanier 80" Cap is a much better choice for gas,but you need a 3.2,I had one with a 2.4 and it flew but needed more power,plus I had to add weight to the firewaal to balance.You might want to check out
www.giantscaleplanes.com they have a variety of 80" planes that are designed for gas 3.2.I beleive they are made by the same people that make the Creek kits,China Models.The difference between these and the 1.20 planes is that they are desiged for gas engines.I think you will be much happier with one of these,and you are right,the one peice wing is a pain!I don't know the site address,but I am sure someone can give us a link to Dick Hanson models,on it he has a H-9 Edge with a ZDZ 40,which I believe is lighter than the others we spoke about,Dick knows his stuff,and he recomends not putting a gas engine on this plane.If I find the link,I'll send it to you.
