Crash I am using a 4.8v 1500 nicad I had on hand. I believe the CH ignition draws about 1 amp at full throttle. When I get around to replacing my batteries I will use lithium with a 6v regulator.
I bench ran mine on a NiMH 6v. Both work fine.
